Ministry of Sound

Wednesday, July 2nd, 2008

Ministry of Sound (MoS) is a nightclub in Elephant and CastleSouthwarkSouth London, officially opened on 21st September 1991. British MoS initially set itself apart from other London nightclubs of the time with its location well away from London clubland, a non-alcoholic bar with a 24 hour dance licence and the highly-acclaimed sound system; all features designed to attract an enthusiastic crowd of lovers. DJs mix live sets on Friday and Saturday each week. The MoS contains two dance floors as well as a Sony PlayStation room and Absolut chill bar.

Ministry of Sound was founded by James Palumbo, Humphrey Waterhouse and DJ Justin Berkmann. It is still largely owned and controlled by Jamie Palumbo, son of property developer Peter, Lord Palumbo. Since the club’s opening, the MoS brand has been extended to a number of other areas. Profits from the brand put Palumbo on the Sunday Times Rich List 2004, with an estimated worth of £136m.

The club’s name and original logo are in the style of executive branches of UK government (such as the Ministry of Defence). The original logo was designed by Marc Woodhouse & Justin Berkman and was based on the portcullis and crown, the symbols of Westminster government.

The current logo is a redesign done as a collaboration from AMP, London who designed the general logo and Vincent Connare at Dalton Maag, London who designed the lettering and finalized the artwork for MOS logo completed in 2002.

Do I need a pro mastering for better music sales???

Saturday, June 7th, 2008

Do you need mastering pro to make better sales? The answer for that my friends is No. Some have little laptops, live in a basement, and make . Is it good ? Maybe or maybe not. Once there was a man who was like that. He ended up making a hit song. all over the world were playing it. One dj in Costa Rica, in Las Vegas, somewhere in Europe. That man knew some things about mastering pro, and . He wasn’t in a big studio. He wasn’t on better sales. He was counting on himself, and his computer. That is the answer for if you need mastering pro.

…… Think about it. If one person dedicates themselves to one thing, then they don’t have anything to do with mastering pro. The mastering is in the heart, and the pro is in the head. All you have to do is believe in yourself!!! It is the best thing you can possibly do.

If a composer doesn’t dedicate themselves to the , and does use mastering pro, it won’t make a difference. Dedication, love, talent is what makes a better sound. It is the musicians chouce if they want to use the mastering pro. The soul is the mastering. The musician is the pro.

Definition of good music.

Friday, May 30th, 2008

sing, compose, rock, dance, poeple perform. Why do do that. Not only , but mokeys and cats can do that too. But why??? The reason for doing all those things is because it is good . The reason want more is because….well…. its good !!!

The meaning of good is ….. a) it’s approved, b) poeple feel good about it, and c) it is good. Of course have their opinion, but if the majority of like it and want it, it is considered as good.

The defenition of is sound. It is a melody with a rythm and notes. It is something and cats cherish. can cry and laugh to it. Dance to the beat. Sing to the melody. Talk the lyrics out. Live to . A rythm. A sound. A motion. A melody. HELLO? WAKE UP!!! LIFE !!!!!!!!!

What next? …. Put those two together. It is a melody, rythm and notes that is approved, and something that makes feel good. Good Life!! Good . Same difference!!!

Good #1

How to Become a DJ!

Monday, May 26th, 2008

STEPS

1. Learn about all genres of . Often you may know of a couple hit songs in a few genres but that is not enough. Try going to sites that try to help independent labels. Often these sites have songs that are free and therefore you are able to sample before downloading. Also make sure you learn about all the hit songs in most genres because those will be the ones that the crowd recognizes and most likely they will like it if it’s a hit.

2. Legally Download all of the you think four out of five like and can be danced to. By doing this it encourages even those who don’t particularly like the song to go with the flow and dance to it.

3. Play a song you think a group of friends might like. If eighty percent or more say they liked it then you correctly associated the song to the group.

4. Develop your charisma. Try to be a someone that attracts attention in a good way when necessary. Also know when to step back and let the group dynamic take over. Constantly vying for attention will make uncomfortable.

5. Learn party games designed for a memorable experience while eliminating a large number of last.

6. Ask a friend who has a party that you were invited to if you can do a free gig there. This will allow you to observe the crowd’s reaction to you.

7. If DJing is right for you then begin to get a few small gigs at a price much lower than an experienced DJ would charge. A few ideas are a senior center dance in which you will be exposed to different tastes than yours, a dance at a local youth center such as the Boys and Girls Club, and maybe a company gathering.

8. After the smaller gigs if you still want to do it then partner with a few and start your own business or work for an existing one.

What it takes to be a star.

Saturday, May 17th, 2008

brighton411.com

When a star makes something, they have to have guts, a great mind, and talent. It’s not about the look, and it’s not about the money. Anyone can make , or write a book. But, they have to have the guts to sell it and show it to the world. They have to have a great mind because the publisher has to like it. Talent comes with the mind. They have to think that they have talent.

What comes with that package is passion for what they do. The topic is, “What it takes to be a star”. It takes guts, a great belief and mind, and talent. Most importantly, passion for what you do. Imagine, a human being, doing what they don’t like doing, and don’t have passion just for being famous, or just for getting money.

Anyone can be a star. Anyone can help a star. Anyone can make a star. Anyone can be themselves. Discovering ; making . You can discover . When you buy it, you will help a star, and they will think of you as a star. It is great!!!

Imagine…………………….

What makes more value for you?— 80’s cartoon, or Dance music today???

Saturday, May 17th, 2008

Brighton411.com

Get real. It is the 21st century. At least watch a cartoon from this century!!! What is even better? The answer to that is Dance Today!!! When you watch cartoons from almost 30 years ago, you think about the past. What is better? The past or the present. I say present.

Forget the past. Does it make a difference if it’s or a cartoon? NO!!! But the life today and the life 30 years ago make a difference. You can be interested, but it’s not helping anyone. They say what’s done is done. It’s true. Now is more exciting.

Now makes the future. Today’s makes tomorrows future. 80’s cartoons don’t make our future. Today makes tomorrow. One horse makes another horse, which leads to another. All those horses make a family. Our future.

Take your pick. Today’s dance …….or…….. 80’s cartoon. If I were you I would pick today’s . I don’t like thinking about the past. You never know, today can lead to a wonderful tomorrow. Take your pick!!!

3D sound.

Saturday, May 17th, 2008

Dance has 3D sound. Classical has 2D sound. 3D sound is when there are five sounds all at once. Not only that, but also it all makes sense. It’s put together very well, and it sounds good. This is 3D sound.

When you imagine classical in a picture, you basically see only two lines. When you listen to dance , and imagine the moving picture, you can see more than 2 lines. There are different shapes, and colors, and sounds. It’s like food, in a picture that is moving.

3D sound, as you probably guessed is awesome. It can rock this world. Not only , but many other things. The other awesome thing about it is that it is made up!!! It makes it more exciting.

3D, 3D, 3D, 3D, 3D is so cool. Especially the part where it was just born!!! This is 3D sound…….
